GM Vic LeRoux
GM Vic LeRoux is the Co-Founder of the IKCA. Vic began his training under Chuck Sullivan in 1965 at 14 years old. As a student of the original Crenshaw dojo, Mr. LeRoux was also a personal student of system founder Edmund K. Parker, Sr. Vic was promoted to 5th Degree Black Belt by Mr. Parker in 1981 at the original Karate Connection dojo.
A student of several disciplines, Mr. LeRoux formally studied other martial arts including Judo, Escrima, Kali, and Wing Chun. Outside of Kenpo, he accomplished the most studying Jeet Kune Do under Richard Bustillo and Jerry Poteet, achieving JKD Certified Instructor status under Mr. Poteet.
Noted for his energy and enthusiasm, Vic was the driving force in opening both the original Hawthorne school and the foundations of the IKCA. He directly worked with Chuck Sullivan in the design and development of what is today known as IKCA Kenpo. Mr. LeRoux served the IKCA from 1990 until he retired in May of 2017.
The IKCA acknowledges GM LeRoux with gratitude and appreciation for his many years of service to the martial arts.
